Stop The Gold Coast Quarry
Our group was created for one reason, to Stop a Quarry. It requires a commitment to the environment that we share, and to those we share it with. It is based on the belief that the proposed quarry was unreasonable and unnecessary.
Coming to a sky near you…
Don’t wait to see how the proposed ‘new’ Gold Coast Quarry will affect you, your lifestyle, your health, the school your children attend, the environment, property values and the impact pn tourism to a no longer pristine green hinterland.
Traffic and Road Safety
The quarry will be run from 6am to 6pm, six days a week, with trucks in and out every 60 seconds, increasing heavy vehicle traffic on local roads and the M1.
Noise and Vibration
Quarries impact local areas in all sorts of ways – explosions, operation of ventilators and conveyors, machines reverse warning noise, blasting sirens, constant movement of trucks with loud engines.
